Co-Founder and CEO
Henry Fong has published and co-produced several dozen Western mobile games for the China market, including the hits Cut the Rope: Time Travel (Zeptolab), Ski Safari (Defiant Development), Powder Monkeys (XMG), and Hero Academy – China Edition (Robot Entertainment). A veteran technologist and international business strategist who’s lived and worked around the world, he has over 18 years of industry experience, including executive roles at Microsoft and Brocade Communications. As a serial entrepreneur, Henry previously co-founded several successful ventures, including a $80M investment fund and a Pan-Asian market entry consulting firm. He’s spoken about mobile gaming for GDC, SXSW, and Casual Connect, and has been interviewed as an expert in Chinese mobile gaming by the BBC, Salon, Pocket Gamer, and numerous Chinese outlets. Previous to Yodo1, Billy was founder, CEO and acting CTO for two successful start-ups which innovated and patented new identity recognition technology, managing up to 60 employees in two countries while directing the companies’ operations, R&D, and marketing projects. He also led implementation of e-commerce for 3D-Gold, Hong Kong’s largest jewelry retail business.
VP Global Publishing
A game industry veteran since 1995, Jung held Product Management and Sr. Production roles at industry leaders Activision, Walt Disney, and Electronic Arts. He subsequently co-founded pioneering game rental company GameFly, where he was VP of Content, and was most recently co-founder and CEO of mobile game developer Red Rocket Games (a Yodo1 studio partner based in Shanghai), leading development on three titles which became top 100 iOS hits: Hank Hazard, Mevo & the Grooveriders and Little Runner. Previous to working in games, he was an agent trainee in Digital Media at CAA, Hollywood’s leading talent agency.
VP of Product and Business Development
Experienced in both game development and channel distribution, SK was previously the co-founder of Gametowin, a game studio that created and published 20 original RPG and online games. He was also head product manager at IN-FUSIO China, where he oversaw publication of over 200 name-brand mobile games in China, including Age of Empires, Terminator, and Dragon World.
James was directly responsible for generating over USD$2.0 billion in revenue from the Asian market for top tech firms including Microsoft, McAfee, and Brocade Communications. He’s also established over 175 distribution partnerships and closed over 80 OEM contracts with a minimum value of $1 million each. Originally from Texas, James is a long-time resident of Asia, and speaks fluent Japanese and Mandarin. He’s author of the best-selling Japanese book Writing E-mails in English, and blogs about the Asian mobile lifestyle and business for his site Mobile People.
Dir. Mobile Platform
Shuo has been active in the mobile games industry for the past 7 years, first for Disney Mobile, then as a founding member and General Manager for Shouji Mobile Entertainment, a specialist development house for top gaming companies including Electronic Arts, Popcap, Konami, THQ, Sony, Namco, Bandai, and Tencent. While at Shouji Mobile, Shuo oversaw the development, testing and cross-platform porting of over 200 mobile games and applications, growing the company to one of the industry’s top mobile games development outsourcers, with a production team of over 90 members.
Will has 15 years of award-winning experience in digital film post-production and CGI animation. He’s headed a number of film production teams listed among the top 10 in China and the top 25 Asian-based animation teams. He’s also led numerous projects for clients including Sony Pictures, Disney Pictures, the Discovery Channel, and the History Channel America.
