Henry is a veteran technologist and international business strategist with over 18 years of experience in technology and business strategy leadership roles in companies including Microsoft and Brocade Communications.
A serial entrepreneur, Henry has previously co-founded a number of other successful ventures including a US$80m Hong Kong listed venture fund as well as a profitable pan-asia market entry consulting firm that has helped over 60 US tech companies accelerate their business in Asia.
Since owning his first Commodore 64 computer at the age of 12, he has developed an enduring passion for gaming which he is building upon with YODO1.
James brings to YODO1 an amazing track record as a master deal closer, being directly responsible for generating over US$2.0 billion in revenue for tech companies in Asia including Microsoft, McAfee and Brocade Communications.
During his career, James has established over 175 distribution partnerships and closed over 80 OEM contracts with a minimum value of $1 million each.
A long time resident of Japan, James speaks fluent Japanese and has developed an impressive list of industry contacts in tech, telecommunications, gaming and eCommerce.
An avid blogger and writer, James is the author of the top selling Japanese book “Writing emails in English”, as well as the “China Bits” and “Japan Bits” blogs focusing on tech and the economy for the largest Asian countries.
Marcus Chan / CTO
Marcus brings over 24 years of technology industry experience to YODO1, coming from Microsoft where he served in various senior technical positions most recently the Technology Director for Microsoft Greater China.
With a Masters of Science degree in Adv. Info Tech and over 16 years of hands on design, development and architecture experience, Marcus brings a rare level of technology sophistication to the company.
Experienced in managing large development teams and architecting highly scalable back-end systems, Marcus was a key architect in the AMS3 trading system for the HK Stock Exchange as well as HSBC bank’s retail banking system.
Shuo Chen / Mobile Platforms
Shuo has been active in the mobile games industry for the past 7 years starting with Disney Mobile in 2004, then as a founding member and General Manager for Shouji Mobile Entertainment, a specialist development house for Top Gaming companies including EA, Popcap, Konami, THQ, Sony, Namco Bandai and Tencent.
While at Shouji Mobile, Shuo oversaw the development, testing and cross-platform porting of over 200 mobile games and applications, growing the company to one of the top Mobile Games outsourced developers in the industry with a production team of over 90 members.
Spencer Liu / Vice President
Spencer comes with a 17 year track record in the Internet User Experience, Media Publishing, Consumer Product and Gaming industries working on brand development, product strategy, user experience and interactive advertising innovation.
Besides being the Creative Director for CNET (now CBS Interactive) leading a team of 25 designers, developers and researchers, Spencer has in recent years been consulting with US and European startups focusing on user acquisition and engagement.
In the computer entertainment space, Spencer brings extensive marketing and creative knowledge from working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment, EIDOS Interactive, SEGA American, EA Sports on smash hit game titles such as NCAA Final Four, PGA Tour, Twisted Metal and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
Will Chung / Vice President
Will brings us 15 years of award-winning experiences in digital film postproduction and computer-generated animation.
Throughout his career, Will has led a number of production teams which have been selected as one of the top 10 film production teams in China and named as one of the top 25 most influential animation teams in Asia.
Will has lead world-class projects for clients such as Sony Pictures, Disney Pictures, Discovery Channel and History Channel America.
