Yodo1 tells Gamasutra How to Launch a Hit iOS Game like Hero Academy in China

Click here to read my new guest post on Gamasutra, “How Hero Academy went big in China”, which explains the steps we took at Yodo1 to prepare Robot Entertainment’s popular iOS strategy game for the Chinese market. Within two days of its launch, the game made the China App Store’s Top 10 list in free games, and the Top 25 iPhone apps overall. To help make that happen, we integrated the game with Chinese social media networks, and added Chinese-language marketing, tutorials, and community resources. We even got the Yodo1 team together to shoot a pretty crazy viral video promoting “Hero Academy”, check it out:
