Equestria is coming to the mobile gaming world! Hasbro and XD Games are teaming up for an exclusive event, uniting the magic of My Little Pony with Heartopia’s creative and flexible life sim mechanics.
The limited-time event, powered by Yodo1 Licensing, launches in mainland China on July 17th and ends on August 24th.
My Little Pony’s magical friendship with Heartopia is XD Games’ second time forging an IP collaboration with Yodo1, after the hyper successful Sausage Man x Transformers event.
The upcoming Heartopia x My Little Pony event features a whimsical story inspired by the world of My Little Pony.
While preparing Harmony Element Cards for the School of Friendship’s welcome ceremony, the spirit of chaos Discord tries to secret send the gifts to another dimension. The spell goes wrong, and Discord also disappears the Tree of Harmony itself.
The ponies use their magic to look for the Tree, only to find it in Heartopia’s Whale Island slowly withering away due to a problematic psychic field.
As an added twist, the ponies can’t freely enter and exit Whale Island, so they need the help of Heartopia’s players to rescue the Tree.
In the anticipated event, players will get access to exclusive My Little Pony characters and content, including themed costumes, vehicles, and special items. While the ponies won’t be playable, players will get to interact with the Tree of Harmony and get Elements of Harmony rewards.
Exclusive content, including special costumes, vehicles, and collectible cards, all drawn from the sparkling world and cast of My Little Pony, will be included in the event.
The event is exclusive to mobile gamers in mainland China.

The die is cast again! The epic fantasy collaboration that rocked the Chinese mobile gaming market is back for another adventure.
Powered by Yodo1 Licensing, Tencent and Wizards of the Coast are continuing their IP partnership to forge another experience for Dragonheir: Silent Gods and Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) fans in China. Players will get return to the game for another thrilling quest from May 1st to May 28th.
This is the second Dragonheir IP event, featuring Dungeons & Dragons characters, to make it to players in China. The first event brought legendary character Drizzt Do’Urden to the game, while this new epic unveils an entirely new and more spellbinding challenge: helping famed wizard Elminster defeat a dangerous lich.
Yodo1 Licensing first brought together Dragonheir and D&D in 2023, launching to widespread success across global markets. The collab includes D&D characters, themed storylines, dice skins, Avatar frames, in-game items, and map building.

In this second IP crossover event, Dragonheir raises the stakes and amps up the sorcery. Players learn that the Child of Chaos, whose power now dwells within the
player character, once tried to summon an army of fallen dragons to decimate Adenthia. Many years later, the Order Penultima, ardent followers of the Child of Chaos, plan for his return.
The action kicks off when the player encounters the famed wizard Elminster Aumar, one of the first characters to be developed for the Forgotten Realms campaign setting and discovers that the banished lich (undead sorcerers often featuring as villains in fantasy gaming) Sammaster plans to revive Adenthia’s dragons and attain immeasurable power.
Battles and intrigue ensue, with the epic story culminating in the player character achieving new levels of power for the next instalment of the IP crossover saga.
The event will feature similar mechanics, but bring in new dice skins, Avatar frames, in-game items, and map building options, along with the Elminster team up.

The world of Puzzles & Survival has always delighted players with its unique, chaotic gameplay, but Yodo1 Licensing is helping 37Games raise the bar with another TRANSFORMERS event.
Following the success of the first collaboration in December 2024, the game is bringing even more legendary Autobots and Decepticons into the fray from April 1st through April 15th 2025.
The event will give players the chance to convert into characters like newcomer Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, and face off against a new enemy, the Quintesson Judge.
Yodo1 Licensing’s next collaboration between Puzzle & Survival and TRANSFORMERS reignites recurring player interest and spending, while also welcoming new players to the game. This announcement highlights the most exciting elements of the crossover event and digs into how the collaboration benefits both brands.
When Puzzles & Survival first teamed up with Hasbro and Yodo1 Licensing (tag), the goal was clear: compliment the game’s strategy and survival elements while teaming up with the powerful Transformers bots!
The first event, Phase 1, introduced Optimus Prime to players, while also creating an immersive experience that wove the Autobots into the game’s post-apocalyptic setting.
With Phase 2, the stakes are even higher. Yodo1 Licensing has helped 37Games level up the collaboration experience, uniting Autobots and Decepticons against a shared threat and turning them against one another at the same time. Bumblebee also gets a pivotal role in the event as the brave warrior able to turn the tide.

Castle Doombad: Free to Slay is a tower defense puzzler that puts players in the sinister shoes of villain extraordinaire, Dr. Lord Evilstein. Armed with treacherous traps and monstrous minions, players must strategically defend their castle against waves of invading heroes seeking to rescue their captured. The villainous action takes place across over 70 campaign stages, multiple bonus gameplay modes, and with over 30 unique traps to unlock and upgrade and over 100 unlockable and equippable items to collect.
The original Castle Doombad was released back in 2014, developed by Grumpyface and published by Adult Swim Games, but years later became delisted from mobile app stores along with most of Adult Swims Games’ catalog. Since then, fans have been clamoring for its return. In response, Grumpyface has not only brought back the original hit Tower Defense gameplay, but also developed and added brand new never-before-seen content and features.
The new content includes an unlockable cosmetics system, called “spoils”, where the player can deck out their Dark Lord and his control room with various evil artifacts and stolen loot, each paired with their own equippable “Baddie Bonus” perks that make the player stronger. Also added is a robust new rougelite mode, “Dr. Lord Evilstein’s Roguevenge”. In Roguevenge, players must defend randomly-generated castle layouts and collect nefarious Nightmares that grant a range of villainous new powers and abilities.
Chris Graham, President and Creative Director of Grumpyface, shares his excitement: “Our small but passionate team has worked tirelessly to resurrect Castle Doombad, a game we’ve always been proud of and wanted to do more with. We’re so thrilled to finally have the opportunity to do just that, and I can’t wait for players to experience how much bigger and badder Castle Doombad has become!”
The team is also working on a Nintendo Switch release, expected to release next year, and a sequel titled Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!

In an unprecedented move, the Shelby family took over Mafia City in an exclusive in-game collaboration from August 18th to the 31st. Banijay Brands, the commercial arm of media giant Banijay that handles Peaky Blinders, partnered with the show's creators, Caryn Mandabach Productions. Together, they collaborated with Mafia City's developers and Yodo1 Games to create this special crossover event.

Players found themselves rubbing shoulders with familiar faces from the BAFTA-winning Peaky Blinders universe, including Tommy Shelby, Arthur Shelby, May Carleton, and Darby Sabini, as they navigated the treacherous underworld.
The drama is set in motion when Tommy's racehorse, Grace's Secret, is stolen, leading the Shelby family to this unfamiliar territory. There they seek the support of a local, the player, to infiltrate a racing event and retrieve Tommy’s stolen horse.
From attending high-profile horse auctions to dealing with rival gangs, players are drawn into a captivating storyline that combines the drama and intrigue of Peaky Blinders with action-packed gameplay.

After three successful IP events, Viking Rise, the popular mobile game from developer I Got Games (IGG), is bringing MGM’s Vikings and Vikings: Valhalla back for a fourth phase of the collaborative saga that united the two epic IPs.
Players will get to experience these two mobile gaming and TV realms collide one final time from March 27th to April 30th, with major elements from the past three phases returning.

This is the first time these specific characters will appear in mobile game collaboration. While most of the characters that have crossed over from the TV show into the mobile game are popular, this final event stands out for highlighting more niche characters that bring their own charm to the game, adding further depth and variety to the story and gameplay.
The event will also feature fan and player favorites Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdotter , Harald Sigurdsson, Rollo, Ragnar, Bjorn, Lagertha , and. Floki, giving players the chance to enjoy the most expansive cast of Vikings yet.
Alongside new and returning characters, players will also cash in on a reward system building on their experience throughout the entire collaborative saga.
Players entering the final phase will earn “Einherjar Medals” in redeeming sub-events that can be exchanged for IP items from the entire series, including castle skins, decors, avatar frames, and thematic chat bubbles.
This mechanic is designed to delight new players and reward those who’ve stuck around since the first collaborative event. The entire event is a coveted opportunity for players to collect items they may have missed, and snag more hero shards and skins to get stat boosts for quicker advancement through Viking Rise.

It was an epic fusion of universes as Last Fortress: Underground and hit series The Boys collided in a collaboration that packed a brutal punch. From July 31st to August 28th, the survival game, Last Fortress: Underground, embarked on its first-ever collaboration event, rewarding players with a wild, bold, and bloody gaming experience.
Billy Butcher, Hughie Campbell, and Starlight, three iconic characters from The Boys, arrived in the post-apocalyptic world of Last Fortress: Underground. Players got to fight alongside the well-loved series characters and help investigate the truth behind Vought’s conspiracy.

The apocalypse arrived on May 4th, 2023, when the worlds of Last Shelter: Survival and AMC’s The Walking Dead collided in a groundbreaking collaboration. This limited-time in-game event brings together two behemoth fan bases to fight off the zombie threat alongside fan-favorite characters from the smash hit AMC television series.
Last Shelter: Survival's publisher worked with Yodo1 Games’ IP Licensing Team to facilitate the collaboration with AMC, which promises to deliver a riveting experience for players worldwide, with iconic locations from the series (like the prison, the Alexandria Safe-Zone and the Greene Family Farm) appearing in the game as base skins and landscape decors.
AMC’s The Walking Dead is the highest-rated series in cable television history, and will bring its apocalyptic vision and iconic characters to bear in the gritty desolation of Last Shelter: Survival, a mobile survival SLG with over 100 million downloads. The Commander of the Wasteland will fight side-by-side with Daryl and Maggie to survive Doomsday, a battle against the odds. In August 2021, top franchise Transformers and popular SLG Top War: Battle Game launched a two-week collaboration that proved successful with fans of both parties: Top War: Battle Game broke its daily revenue record on the first day, and its App Store ranking rose in markets across the world.
The second phase of the collaboration ran for three weeks between March 10 and March 30, 2022, and once again broke the game’s single-day revenue record, with overall revenue surpassing the phase one event. Top War: Battle Game’s ranking continued to rise in the App Stores, and the collaboration was featured and recommended on channels such as the App Store’s App Today.
In the China App Store, Top War: Battle Game rose from 18th place to 11th, while in the US it made a huge jump to 13 from 36, and in Japan it rose from 45 to 32.
Multi-stage collaborations often generate excitement in the first phase before dropping off later, but that has not been the case here, with each phase building on the previous one and generating even more interest and fan engagement.
In the first phase, Transformers character favorites were launched in-game, and phase two introduced a background story to kick off the gameplay, which made players excited to learn what comes next and then unite together to defeat the ultimate villain, Unicron.
At each stage of the collaboration, Yodo1’s team has worked to incorporate and blend beloved Transformers characters with Top War: Battle Game’s gameplay style, resulting in unique visuals and an innovative experience for players.

Here at Yodo1, our primary goal is to empower every game creator, wherever they are, helping them better monetize their games and build a career out of their creativity. In 2021 alone, over 5000 new games started using our MAS monetization SDK to do just that.
The talent on display has been so exciting for us that we decided to provide a platform to reward this ingenuity and bring some of these games to a broader audience by launching our first mobile game developers’ competition.
The contest, which ran from November 15 through to December 15, saw over 125 developers entering a total of 250 games across four categories in a bid to secure the USD$1000 grand prize and competing for four $500 category prizes. Entry was free, with the only requirement being that games used Yodo1’s MAS monetization solution. In addition to recognition and cash awards, all winners would be eligible to enter a dedicated accelerated program and receive individual coaching from our publishing team on taking their games to the next level, making them even more successful.
Entries were judged across four primary gaming criteria: gameplay, game design, music, and innovation in monetization strategy, with a winner in each category and the grand prize awarded to the game that scored the highest overall.
“We created this competition to celebrate the talent and creativity of our developers,” said Riccardo Russo, Head of Growth Marketing at Yodo1. “We chose these four specific categories because these are the key factors that can bring success to independent game developers. If you, as a developer, are always thinking about and improving these four elements, your chances of success are much higher, so we wanted to highlight that in our competition.”
Riccardo further noted that the panel of judges was impressed with the overall quality and variety of entries. “There’s always room for improvement, of course, but the standard was very high. Yodo1 firmly believes that indie game developers, with their creativity and fresh ideas, are the future of this industry and as such, is committed to supporting them in every way possible. Helping developers get the feedback they need from their players and the market, so they can turn their hobby into a sustainable business, is a skill set that should be available to everyone.”
With so many top talents on display, choosing the winners seemed impossible. The team went through multiple rounds of revision to arrive at a final decision.
Grand Prize Winner: Sakura Scary School Teacher 3D, by Flash Point, was an extremely original game idea, with all four key categories well implemented within it–staying a step ahead of the scary teacher who’s after you. It was well-balanced and well well-thought-out—most importantly—it was fun to play, keeping us glued to our screens. That’s the highest compliment you can give a game! If you love anime and your idea of a good game is one with jumps and scares, we think you’ll love this, too.
In addition to excelling in their selected areas, our four category winners were great games, too:
Best Graphics: The Run of Spirits by Ascora. With fantastic artwork and ghostly spirits making appearances, this game is a unique visual experience. Our judges loved the experience of playing as both the girl and wolf spirit characters.
Best Gameplay: The Wanderer - Project Survival by JmPrsh. For the player who dreams of adventures in a post-apocalyptic world! With multiple maps to explore in this game, there’s never a dull moment.
Best Music: Walwulf: Wulcan Walwulf by Rise Universe Studios. Is anything better than a quest to restore an ancient kingdom, all set to an immersive soundtrack? This game had us reaching for our swords and setting off to adventure!

The three month Battle of Balls crossover that saw Transformers characters integrated into the popular casual esports mobile game resulted in new monetization avenues and increased engagement from fans.
MiniWorld’s first Hasbro tie-up, again with Transformers, was so successful—with over half a million units sold—that they soon arranged another collaboration with the My Little Pony IP, to engage with another segment of their fanbase.
